Avonturenpark

A pirates and witches’ park, for kids up to the age of 12. it is a huge!! Filled with fairy tales figures and places, sorceresses, warlocks, castles, mazes, labyrinths and more.
Most of the activity that takes place in the park, is suitable for kids above the age of 4.

Verkeerspark

You can call it what you will, but I am sure that you have never came across such a park. Kids here, get their own cars, drive around, fuel, park just like grown ups and all in a large fenced area. They learn how to conduct themselves on the road and in a way preparing them for driving.

The park is a full scaled reconstruction, of archeological findings that were excavated in the Netherlands. You can find in the park anything from roman bridges, to middle ages guild houses.
The park offers shows that resemble life during those times - actual people, dressed in authentic cloths, engaging in a battle or a fight and more things of that sort.

Walibi World

A “6 flags” amusement park (Warner bros.).
The park offers various attractions such as slides, roller coasters, and more.
Like all Warner Bros’ amusement parks, you can see different cartoons strolling around the park such as Bugs Bunny, Duffy Duck and much much more.
The main attraction in the park are the roller coasters – a loop of 360dgr, a giant Ferris wheel, the Excalibur (throws you up 60m in the air), and also more calm attractions such as bumper cars etc.
The park also offers various shows, restaurants and more.

Efteling

Who hasn’t heard the most popular word “Efteling”? A magical kingdom that is an amusement park, and the most known in the Netherlands.
It is locates 40 min from Amsterdam . The park is suitable for kids from the age of three and even more so, for adults.
The park is divided in to several small kingdoms with various facilities.
It is built over a nature reserve with many trees and lakes. It is a place where you can spend hours and even days (be sure to spend there at least 2 days).

The park offers various self service fast food restaurants, and it is even possible to get a package that includes sleeping arrangements, for those of you who travel from a far.

The park is open between the months of Oct. and Apr.
During the months of July and August, take under consideration the long queues since the place will be packed with tourists.

A big amusement park located in the city of Apeldoorn. The place offers over 50 attractions for kids (slides, trains etc.).
The local mascot is a Micky Mouse shaped doll, which can be found walking around the park and pausing for pictures.

Sprookjes Wonderland

A very adorable park, with characters out of Wonderland. All through the park music is played, which gives the place a more magical feeling to it. Kids may enjoy a guided tour around the dwarf’s house, get to meet real live fairy’s and princes and characters out of fairy tales (Snow-white, Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood and more). The park has attraction in and outdoors that everyone can enjoy – kids and adults alike.

The place also offers an animal farm, where kids can get acquainted with animals such as lamas, donkeys, goats etc. in addition to the animal farm, you can enjoy a horse back riding
on plastic horses, sail around in a boat or take a ride on the train.

The local cafeteria, offers sandwiches, drinks and of course pancakes.

Speelpark Oud Valkeveen

a very old amusement park, that operates for nearly a century (of course it was renovated and upgraded). The park is close to the city of Bussum in Narden. It is open between the months of March and November. Most of the attractions are outdoors and they include sand boxes, swings, slides, highly sophisticated trampolines and more.
The park has also a very nice cafeteria.
Clowns walk around the park, supplying constant entertainment for the kids.
It is open between 10:00 and 17:00 and during the months July and August till 18:00

Vakantiepark Slagharen

An enormous amusement park where you can enjoy various attractions such as horse riding, surfing, rock climbing, swimming, diving and also attractions of a real amusement park.
The park resembles a bit to the Efteling but is less known.
It is a 90 min drive from Amsterdam towards the city of Slagharen
During the holidays and week-ends, the park offers a variety of musical and theatrical shows.
The park also has a water park for you to enjoy.
The park offers restaurants with sandwiches and warm food (if booked in advance, it is possible to have catering organized for large groups and even for a private party).
A day in the park is more than enough for you and your family.

It is possible to buy tickets combined with sleeping arrangements. The park offers various options when it comes to spend the night: you may choose to spend the night either in a cabin, a tent or a caravan.
There is also a special club for the kids that operate during the week-end – can be great to combine it with one of the sleeping options.

The Vakantiepark is very close to the city of Emmen (30 min from Amsterdam).

Linnaeushof

An attraction for the entire family.  An amusement park that is also suitable for babies.  the Linnaeushof is a big amusement park that is located close to Haarlem.  It has over 300 facilities and attractions that are children friendly (sand boxes, slides, water slides etc).

The park also offers Gymboree’s games for the really little ones. 

Another aspect of this park, comes from the adults point of view - no queues, clean and well organized, the park is built outdoors which gives a lot of room for kids to run about.  The park appeals also to the more grown up, crowd and offers such attractions as pedal boats, bumping cars, race cars and more. 

The park also offers café places and fast food restaurants which are self served.

If you are not a big fan of fast food, be sure to bring your own food.  There are lawns and benches where you can sit and have a small picnic with your family. 

Be sure to bring water!!!!!       

The entrance fee is relatively cheap - 8Euros (children under 2 are free are of charge) and parking costs 3Euros per car. 

The park is open from the beginning of April till the end of September from 10-18 (when going to the park plan to stay there for at least 4 hours so you can enjoy all that the park has to offer).
